Rsx shifter in 5th gen
So I've been looking into the rsx shifter upgrade and i can't find like any information on it. I've searched and only found really 1 thread and it didn't have much information in it.
I'm mostly just wondering if the factory 5th gen cables would work with the rsx shifter base. Didn't really want to go through getting it bolted in to find it doesnt work. I do plan on getting a set of aftermarket cables eventually but likely no time soon.
Any answers y'all can provide are greatly appreciated

Re: Rsx shifter in 5th gen
That doesn't help me or address my question because i wasnt asking about short shifters nor does it fix the flaws of the factory box. Besides last i knew they weren't actually making those anymore, like they listed them but you couldn't actually order one

No, the factory Prelude cables will NOT work with the RSX shifter. If you want to use an RSX shifter or aftermarket equivalent, you will need the shifter, RSX shifter cables and an aftermarket bracket for the transmission end of the cables to connect the cables to the transmission shift mechanisms.

I suppose I'll be saving for the HR cables and bracket then. I have a stock rsx base i picked up for like $30 so I'll run that combo for awhile until I'm ready for the big boy shifters
