Default removing or resetting apexi air flow converter?

Hello. I recently bought a 2000 prelude and it had an Apexi vtec v-afc airflow converter in it. After going through the manual for it, I know for a fact that it isn't set up correct right now. I know how to reset the unit to factory settings but my question is, will it affect anything to leave it hooked up to the car without re-tuning it? can anyone tell me if resetting it is a bad idea?

You are not going to hurt anything by changing everything back to zero. By doing this, you are not changing any signals going into the computer and it will behave like there is nothing there.

In the manual it's states specifically that it must be set up to some degree in order for the car to run properly. I noticed that my vtech is not engaging. I'm assuming that the only reason for this would be because of this airflow converter?
