So i was reading consumerguide about prelude because i might be selling the civic for one, and i saw that they've been having transmission troubles? So much so that honda had to elongate the warranty. Have you guys been having as much trouble w/the autos? Talking about the 97+ preludes.
Also, how much more labor time would it take if a mechanic is working on a prelude versus a civic, no more than 30 mins or so right?

Yes, the SS tranmissions have problems.

That's a little too vague to even answer. What mechanic?, what job is he doing?, etc...........how could anyone even answer that?

Yeah most Prelude Automatic Trannys have a bad wrap.
As for working on a prelude vs civic, like stated above it does vary. Anywhere from 60-90 bucks an hour. Really depends

the accords, preludes, cl's, and tl's tranny made a major defect. there is a class action lawsuit going on. I believe it extends the warranty to 120k miles or something.

well, ok i stated that wrong, i didn't mean hourly rate, but i meant the amount of time it would take to do something. For example, lets say they were changing alternator, would it cost more labor to change it in prelude than civic. But i guess that depends on a number of factors as well, so just forget it. I think that, in general, because prelude has a larger engine, it would take more time to fix, and thus cost more in labor hours.

I think that makes absolutely no sense. None. At all. Okay?
Don't buy an auto, they suck. Trust me.
