i got my h23 almost ready to pull out, all i gotta do is get the axles out, do i have to take the damper fork off to pull the axles out of the transmission?
i have already knocked the upper and lower balljoints loose, so there is plenty of play just wondering if it is necessary to take off the damper forks??

If you want to take the axles completely out of the car, yes because the ends of the axles won't fit through the fork. Otherwise you can just pull as far as they go so they are out of the way but I usually find it easier to take them out.

 

Yes...I just replaced both of mine.

 

...man all this effort and typing for 2 bolts...just do it
