Mugen!

Why are a lot of you guys sayin the aem pulleys are not worth it. They have been dynoed to give anwhere from 5-9whp and can be bought for about $130. There is no other mod that will give you those numbers for that amount of money. The only negative is the dimming of headlights at idle. If you have over a 300watt stereo it is also not recommended.

Put down the crack pipe. I repeat, put down the crack pipe..

you should only have problems with the electrical system being too weak at idle. I've seen the graph of output (i think it was in amps) vs. rpm. I don't remember exactly how quickly it hits maximum output, but i do remember it being at pretty low rpms.
As for the crank pulley, if you look at the oem ones, they are definitly balanced. I see no reason you couldn't get an aem one balanced too. The other big question about the crank pulley is that the oem ones all have a big rubber damper in them (which is mostly why they're so heavy). That could definitely have an impact on long term durability.

maybe you should put down the pipe and click the search button...on here or on PO or any other site and youll see that those numbers are real

5gen Lude here, I have the pulleys and also noticed a difference with the butt dyno. I have my original factory stereo and notice very little dimming in regards to the lights on my car
When I was an auto, the pullies made a major difference in the butt dyno as well. And no problems with lights dimming. The windows & sunroof are slower at idle, but if you're driving it's fine. Best Mod for the money.
I also got the AEM pulleys for my 5th gen. I noticed no change actually in any of my electrical components. After putting on the CAI, the low-end torque was lacking. After the pulleys... ahhh... just like it was stock and much more responsiveness.

I think i have a lot of **** to buy before i consider these though. Unorthodox makes pullies for the H22A too right?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yes they do, but they make a pulley for the crank too. Don't really wanna mess with the crank pulley.
