I was doing an oil change on my 5th gen. last night and realized that my power steering rack boots are completely torn apart. The joint that they are supposed to cover is out in the open and completely dry.

I'm wondering if anyone here attempted to replace those boots and what was the difficulty on that? Also, I don't know what keeps those joints lubricated? does the power steering fluid keep them lubricated or some sort of grease needs to be applied to them?
