Default PS pump

Ok so i took my car to get a rad support replacement a few weeks ago. The car is no underway of a transmission swap. it should be done in two days and then i'll fire the car up.

When i took the car to the shop i took apart the rad, etc. When i took apart the ps i cut the belt, drained the fluid from the resevoir, took the cooler off, and undid the hose going to the ps pump.

Now my question is, did i just destroy the pump? the steering wheel was turned a bunch to get onto a lift and onto a tow truck. Did i destroy the pump with all the turning?

Will it be fine since i drained all the fluid and removed everything?

Yes. Once you have removed the belt you have removed any operating strain on the P/S pump.

so why would you believe your pump would be ruined? you should be fine. at the most, you will have air in your lines and will have to bleed it out. have fun with that
