The **** that controls whether hot or cold air comes into the cabin seems to be stuck about a third of the way fromt he cold side. the know will move easily toward the hot side but will not move past that point toward the cold side. I took out the a/c heater unit and checked it and everything seems fine, nothing stuck in the unit. The cable that is connected to the **** seems to be stuck and does not have enough slack. I cannot seem to trace where this prob is originating. If anybody has had any issues similar to this before or maybe knows of a fix, let me know. the car is a base 97. Thanks.

 

not positive for a 5g, but that cable attaches down in the footwell of my 4g and can be adjusted down there since it resides in a clip that holds it in position down there, maybe the clip busted off?
