Problem w/Tail Lights.....please HELP!
so my tail light on my 98 prelude wont turn on. Though i turn on my headlights, the headlights turn on! but my light on my cluster, my radio, and my Tail light doesn't turn on! I press the brakes, and the tail light turns on! but thats it! I dont think there aren't any blown or worn out fuses, cause i checked them and they were good! does anybody know what might this problem be?
THANKS

I ask same question a weeks ago, I did found some answer took a look on link below. I found my problem, but I have not fix it. I just bypass the power form the headlight. I'll eventually fix it when I have time.

Wat did you mean you just bypass the power w/the headlight?
By doing that, does your tail light work now?
if so, how do i do that?

I connected a wire from the headlight that is working to the positive sidemarker. My lights are now working, but I'm not sure it is safe or not. But I have it like that for almost two years now, recently found the problem, but I haven't have a chance to fix it yet.
Oh I used a fuse between them to connect headligt and sidemarker, in case anything went wrong. but I never have any problem yet. good luck

Sorry
There shoud be a wires go in the headlight. I peel the red wire and connected and taped with electrical tape. and connected the other end to the side marker.
"Side marker" Not sure on your car model but mine there are corner light which is not a turn signal light. It only comes on when you switch the light on with the gauge cluster back light and brake light. I connect the other end of wire to it.
I'm not sure it's safe to do this way but i had mine like that.
did you took a look at the link on my first post. You might be able to find the problem.

Take a look at the back of the headlight in the hood. you should find wires going into the headlight. turn on the headlight and used light meter or volt meter to test it to see which wire is positive and has voltage going into the headlight.
on that wire, Peel it or striped of so you can connect a wire to it as T shape you don't have to cut it. Connect the other end of the wire as T shape as well to the positive wire that is going in the sidemarker or nightmarker.
