Default Please help, my lights not working

92 lude
I have problem with my light, non of the light come on when I switch on, except the two headlight and high beem. The turn signals are working and brake light comes on only when I step on the brake. Main gauge cluster back light, side marker, fog light, brake lamp does not work when switch on.

I spend two days checking fuse, and bult, i didn't find any physical damage.
is there a fuse or relay that might be bad. I'm out of ideas...

Please help, Thank you in advance

First, double check the "small light" fuse under the hood fuse box. Then remove your interior fuse box cover. Next, you need to remove the driver's foot rest to the left of the clutch in order to pull out the large trim piece that surrounds the fuse box. Now that most of the fuse box is visible, pull out the large rectangular grey harness that is above the accessory power slots numbered "2" and "3". Look at the connectors on this harness to see if any are burned out. If they are, rewire them. If the harness looks good, you will need to replace the whole fuse box. (3 more bolts and 12+ harnesses ) Good luck man, I just fixed this exact same problem on sunday!

Default Thank you

Yes, I did check them couple of time all those small fuses. but I haven't check the big fuse. I wasn't sure how to check them and i don't know which one. I go through the repair manual, find nothing specific for that problem.

I'll check that 2 and 3 as sivikvtec said.

Thank you for all your response..spector and vtec

Do this - remove the big headlight relay - and replace it with the ABS relay. If everything works, then you know its your relay thats bad. Those two relays are the same.

I check the grey harness above the power slots num 2, 3 as sivikvtec said, I found first two on the left side were burnt.
I think it burn because of the alarm. There is one wire connected to the red wire coming from the alarm system. That's might be why when my alarm go on the light didn't flash. normally it flash

How do I fix that problem?
Do I have to replace the whole connector? (which looks ugly to do) or I just need to replace the burnt one.

Thank you guys for all your help...

Well first of all, I would guess that the reason you cooked the connector is because too much power was going through that terminal. For now I would disconnect the security system until you have the chance to wire it up properly from on of those accessory power sources on the fuse box. I had a spare harness from a junkyard that I used. I pulled the burnt wire/connector from the grey plug, since it was all melted it came out easy. (Inside of the grey plug there are a bunch of female ended metal plugs pressed into it) Then I removed a good connector with about 1" of wiring still attached to it from the harness I had lying around. I cut off the bad connector in the car and soldered the wire/connector to it, then it was just plug and play after that. If you don't have access to a junkyard to get a harness to take apart, I would try taking the bad connector to napa or something and see if they have a replacement. Good luck, glad you found the problem!

Yeah, that might be the problem. I have replace alarm couple of time since I had this car for about 8 yrs. The shop that replaced the alarm didn't remove the old one. When I look underneath the dash there's whole bunch of new wire bundle it up. which real confusing which goes where.

Any way I think i could be able to go from here. Thank you this is very helpful...

yes, i have whole bunch of junkyard around here, i think i could find one there, or I might had one from my old alarm system that can be use.
