Default problem with locks

My 5th gen prelude locks its doors automatically... it only does it when i have the door open and i put the key in the ignition, then shut the door, once i shut the driverside door the doors lock. Never when the door is shut and i start the car, and never when when i start the car from the passanger side with the door open. Its just getting annoying because i cant ever just leave my car running without locking my keys in the car with the car running! Is it something to do electrically or something that is programed??

Do you happen to have an alarm on your car? That may be causing your problem

Sounds like there may be a short somewhere in the relay for the driver's side door lock. I'd say take a fluke to the relay and the leads into it, and see how your voltages are compared to the passenger side.
