I paid $120 for an OEM Exedy clutch shipped ot me. The actual labor, including resurfacing the flywheel ($40) was $450

The total was close to $600.

Probably between $100-$200 w/o parts depending on where you go.

When I had the fly resurfaced done for my 88 civic it cost me $36.

Stealerships

They'll charge you 2 hours of labor when you drop the car off.

He was a Nissan tech.

Are you serious about the parts? My nissan tech friend knows a guy that still works at the Nissan dealership. I don't know about the discount though but I can ask.

I'm in MA.

I don't know about you guys, but in Newark we watch the mechanics do the work and stay until they finish so they don't try to hustle us.

Same here, if i bring my car to shop, I better be able to see what's goin on. But most shops have policies that don't allow customers to be around the work area.

That's why I rather do it myself or have a good friend that's a mech help me do it.

How hard would it be to change the clutch and flywheel myself? I'm getting a helms manuel for my car but I'm only 17 and dont have much expierence with cars but I'm definately not mechanically inclined.

It's pretty hard if you don't know what you're doing. Especially with out the tools & a lift/jack stand.

I suggest letting a trained mechanic do it, you don't want to kill yourself or break something.

Best price i got here in cali to replace flywheel + clutch was 300 bucks for labor. It was also 300 just to change the clutch, isn't much more labor for the flywheel..
