please help!
purchased a '97 prelude this time last year with need of a rebuild and some other items. Since the rebuild it has had a "knocking" sound. I brought it to honda and 2 hours later they said it was the oil transfer system to the VTECH. I replaced that part and the problem still exists. The knocking is continuous cold to hot, only time is when you adjust the gas pedal just right to make it not knock.

could be main or rod bearings, low oil pressure, several things.

not a bad time to go with a fresh low milage jdm h22a!
