Default Is the prelude capable?

Hi all,
I love this place and have learnt so much here about turboing my lude. But just one question before I start, now I know what it requires and how to do it what I am asking is how possible it is. I live in New Zealand, and I own a 1995 Si Vtec, I want to know if it realistic that I can run 11 second passes with a stree legal prelude, obviously not on street tyres, on slicks, but when im not at the track I want to be able to drive this thing around. Is this possible or am I dreaming? What sort of HP figures am I looking at? And Weight? Im not asking how to do it just figures, I will SEARCH for the rest,

Thanks

Theres a thread on here somewhere where everyone posts their DYNOS and list of mods. As for weight, i started a thread not too long ago about losing weight on the lude.
Battery, lexan windows, cf hood, light weight wheels, new seats, gutting the WHOLE car, spare tire/jack, rear seats, carpet etc etc etc etc.

Yes, but the cost to get 11's is probably about twice as much as to get 12's. I am not nescissarily talking initial cost, but with an 11 second Lude, your bound to have frequent troubles.

oh yeah, and the answer is no, it's not reasonable at all to expect 11's. And damn sure not in street trim.

http://www.preluderacing.com/

Due to the fact that a Mustang dyno typically yields values
8-12% lower than a DynoJet the expected whp & torque values are as follows:

530.5 - 550.1 whp & 433.5 - 449.6 ft-lbs torque

Given a 15% loss from the engine to the wheels, expected flywheel values are:
610.1 - 632.6 hp & 498.5 - 517.0 ft-lbs torque

Quarter Mile (current setup - Sept 2002)
-no run has been at over 17psi on the current setup with a LSD
-traction limited runs were made (60' times over 2.0 sec - no LSD on current tranny)
-best run = 12.3 @ 109mph (missed shift from 4th to 5th - coasted final 1/4 of track)

Run was made @ 15-17psi @ 3700feet with a full interior

^^^XES is a baller .

With full interior, thats pretty impressive, i was thinking with no back seats, boot etc. Hmmmm, was this with slicks? You were having traction problems over 17psi? and how much faster do you think you would have gone if you didnt miss shift?

I dunno about a street legal 11 second car because the parts that are street legal don't do much performance wise but if you want an 11 second car that you can drive aroud and are willing to spend some cash, it shouldn't be a problem at all, if you have the H22 in there that is ...

I drive the car around as a daily driver...and it has much more power than when I ran the 12.4 @112mph in 2001. Altitude adjusted that time is already in the 11's.

The 12.3 run which was mentioned with the missed shift would have been in the 11's with the gear being hit. That run was also with no LSD and thus there was severe traction problems in 1st, 2nd and 3rd (even on the slicks). An LSD is now in place and one day I will get some good axles and make some runs at 24psi. Why would I have turned the boost up higher when I already had traction problems at 17psi? Larger slicks and LSD will solve that.

An 11 second (on slicks) daily driver is possible (even out of a non-VTEC motor -such as mine)...just plan on spending big cash and having a big turbo under the hood.
