PlEaSe HelP!
My lude is smoking... someone told me to check for antifreeze in the oil or vice-versa....but the smoke I get is bluish/white....so I guess antifreeze is outa question.
I also replaced my PCV valve.
It only happens when I am on idle at a light, then when taking off, there is a "puff" of smoke...it doesnt smoke constantly though...while idleing
Can anyone relate? the car has 110K on it, i didnt expect this kind of problem "so soon"
I really would like to hear from you guys' past experiences, before I am at the mercy of a mechanic..
Many Thankx..

Thankx Sushi,
One question, my gf's jetta headgasket was leaking oil all over the place, meanwhile it didnt smoke. Can ya explain me that? Just lucky?
I know you guys talk/write mostly about how to make ludes fast, since I am really enjoying my ride (bought in 12/01) I want to first have it running nice and smooth.
So...any tips will be greatly appr3ciated
P.S- I am new to all this, but I think i am learning a great deal from you guys! Keep up the good work!

The best thing to do is a compression test, then from there(if there is any loss) do a leakdown test to find out where. Be sure to check your spark plugs also. You can tell alot about the condition of your motor form your plugs. Good luck!!
