Phantom Grip LSD
I have a friend that has it. He's only got to use the benefits from it for a burn out after that he blew his tranny. Not caused from the Phantom Grip just too much power for the tranny to hold. But I've been wondering about the PGLSD myself from Prelude users. I know our trannies aren't the best made.

The PG has so much negative hype associated with it, it's not even funny. I have had it and it worked fine for me when I dragged with it allmotor. It did a great job holding up to my 6200-6500rpm drops. I also felt it working when I first turbo'd my prelude, I did not drag race with it, but I did some pretty hard launches on street tires.
When my car gets back on the road, I don't know if it will be able to withstand 400hp, but we'll just see. If I can find the money, I will get a quaife but in the mean time the PG will do for me.
<rant on> Last thing, what really gets me is how many people claim "it sucks" without any firsthand experience; just internet rumors started by ricers and people who paid 4x the amount for a better unit. </rant off>

Our trannies are made fine, look how much power steph made with it.
You stated look how much power steph made with it. I'm not fully familiar with the setup but is that on a stock tranny or is the tranny built?
I had to rebuild my tranny last year, but it was due to the synchro's going bad. Currently im pushing 330 to the wheels with the quaife and it holds up the power just fine with zero problems. I'll let you know how it holds 400+whp when i get my new turbo on.
not doubting the h tranny but doesnt steph run a custom built tranny (from the ground up) because i noticed his motor is mounted straight like a s2000 not sideways, or are you refering to his older setups

I didn't realize our clutches sucked too, but hey i've only owned it for almost 7 years now.
