Default Performance Upgrades

Hey guys I have a H23a3 and its stock, minus after market headers/exhaust and cold air intake. I want to increase horsepower and torque. What are some upgrades I can do without breaking the bank? I've been looking at skunk2 throttle bodies I don't quite understand what the 64,66, 68, and 70 mm is for?

On the throttle body the bigger the number the bigger the opening is to let in more air into the intake manifold. Upgrades are larger throttle body with the use of port matched intake manifold, tri-y 2.5" headers, chipped obd1 ecu with a good tune on it, you will have to go get it dyno tuned to make the most power safely. Even with these basic upgrades you are getting close to breaking the bank.

I suggest you go to the FAQs at the top of the page and start reading through them.

Once you have a handle on them, start reading through what people have done on their own cars, what has been tested to work etc.

You will find that over the years some things have always been proven performers, and others have been unproven. I would suggest to stick to what is known to work, known to be quality parts, and spend money wisely. Sometimes it is best to hold off on upgardes until you can set up a "package" that works well together.
