Replacing PCV valve and grommet. Old one brittle, sml amt of plastic fell into hole, do i need to worry about it or just leave it be?

 

Uh yea...take off the valvecover and get it out of there..

 

Had some luck, got it out with a pair of tweezers, bit of f&^king around but very short on time today to be taking the vc off and on.
The old grommet was hard as rock, no wonder i broke the pcv valve trying to get it out, plus after 17 years it must deteriorated the pcv valve.
