clutch switch
Here's my problem: the little plastic piece on top of the clutch petal that activates the clutch switch is broke. That thing is a beyatchhh to get to . I was wondering if anyone knew any trick or easier way to actually get to that part. Right now i got the plug jumped so i can start my car. However, i dont like the idea of that safety feature not working because i have two young kids. If nothing else, i was thinking of just hooking up a hidden toggle switch to the plug: for safety purposes and as a nice anti-theft precaution. The manual says to remove part of the dash i believe. I'll have to reread it, but i was just wondering if there was an easier way.
Bad Luck: I drove my car to work. The starter quick working that day. I had to push the car off to get it started. On the SAME day, that little plastic piece broke off. I didnt even realize it until i pulled my starter, tested it, and found out that it was bad. I replaced it and the car still didnt run. I was like WTF. Anyways, just odd that both things went out at the same time on same day.

well, the plastic piece on my brake broke off a few weeks ago. i used the bolt/nut combo to fix that. the main problem im having with the clutch is actually getting my hands on the switch. to me, it looks as if i will have to take out whole part that braces the petal to actually get to the switch. i was thinking maybe going thru the dash by pulling a some of the plastic pieces off under the steering column. Its just a really tight spot to work in and i like to ask opinions on here before i do anything. Somtimes theres an easier way that someone knows who has had the same problem, ya know?? thanks
