Paint problem
I bought a 97 Prelude last year and its in good condition. What I didnt know was that when I bought it, the people that sold it to me, before thay took pictures, they had it re clearcoated without prepping it so it would look good for the pictures. Over the past few months the clearcoat has started to peel insignificantly around the edges of the hood, and pretty badly in one spot right in front of the sunroof. My noob question is (I know its not a prelude question but you guys are as crazy about details as I am) is there any way to slow the process without shelling out $2k for a new paintjob? The problem worsens in the morning (when its humid) or after it rains. Being in Florida, i forsee this getting worse very soon. Any suggestions? And now for a couple of pics:

Call a paint company and ask. I work for Sherwin Williams (although not in the automotive division) so I'm pretty knowledgeable in urethane technology. Especially with urethanes (and to a lesser extent epoxies) if you don't prep and allow a good mechanical bond to form there's nothing that can be done to fix a bad application. The entire coat will have to come off, and be prepped correctly.
