So Im on the edge with deleting the power steering on this 99 prelude that I have. I was able to get the air fitting to fit into the where the return line goes into the rack. But does anyone know the size of the threads for the rear bung on the PS rack. Its the hole closer to the firewall. Im pretty sure there 2 different sizes, I went to the store today with a bolt that threaded into the rear hole but I couldnt find the correct fitting. Any help would be appreciated.
sorry for the ramble but this car has me stressing.

ps I checked the archived p/s delete thread and it didnt have the info I was looking for.

I think the smaller ones are m12 x 1.00, which is a super fine metric thread, and the bigger ones are m14 x 1.25 or 1.5.
I have it written down at home, I will try and answer tonight for sure.

I just cut the existing fittings and welded plugs to them. You can also loop the lines with some hose clamps and a length of hose. This is what most guys have done.
I think we have some guys who want to use fittings and hose that they buy separate, so that they can convert back to power steering easily if so desired.
The other method would be to grab some lines from a junkyard, and cut and loop them, but some people may not want to lay in snow to remove fittings at a junkyard, given the time of year.
