Other Car Comparable to a Prelude?
I'm looking to buy a new car within the next year or two, and the prelude has been on the top of my list, but I would prefer to get a newer car. I'm looking in the $15-25k range. The 2001 Prelude is just about perfect for me, but I'm really looking for something newer.
Is there any car that you would suggest (Preferably Honda/Acura) that would be similar to a 01 prelude?
I'm looking for an 03 or later.
I'm 19, so i'm looking for a sporty car rather than a family car... the newer Accords are nice, but it just seems too... middle age 2 Doors is greatly preferred.
Thanks,
jlapp9

I do LOVE the s2000, but I go to school in Rochester, NY, so the winters are pretty harsh here. That pretty much rules out the s2000 for now.... but I can dream

Celica GT-S is fairly comparable; I like the looks of the Lude better (which is why I own one, duh!).

90 acura integra, i have one for sale , j/k.
You should buy a 5th gen lude. Even thuogh it is not a 2003 or newer, it still is fairly new. 4th gen ludes are older, but are so damn sexy. I want one. Plus, if you had a prelude, than you would be cool like everybody who has one in this forum .

Go sit in one and test drive it, then see if you still say that.

Rsx type s all they way the got some potential. I also love the v6 accord coupe 6speeds.
If you want speed for the money go with a srt-4 but they are everywere.

Re: Other Car Comparable to a Prelude? (matix)
i wouldnt suggest the s2000, especially in NY, with the snow and all, a convertable is horrible for that weather, and the rear wheel drive super light roadster wouldnt work too well. Plus, trust me...after owning a miata (i know the s2000 is way better...) you get tired of a roadster fast for practical perposes.
i would suggest the rsx, but would suggest a wrx more. Of course....for 20k, you could get an 01 prelude with like 30k miles on it and in perfect condition, and it isnt like there is going to be a newer model prelude comming out any time soon, lol. And even if it has 100k miles on the motor, you still got about 150k left untill you will need a new...well i dunno, something major.
Maybe even a lancer evo, those are bad *** also.
maybe even a 2004 rx8. i am looking in autotrader right now, and they got one listed with 9k miles for 22.9k
looking back, i would suggest the rx8, haha.
