Default Noise Problems

I got two noise problems now...First, I have a busted exhaust system I believe and am plannin out throwing in a new one in a couple months, no biggie... It rattles form 2700-3100 rpm... The rest of the time its not bad... Not even noticable above 4000... It sounds normal except at that level... I have a 93 lude si h23... Someone said sumtin about a timing belt tension thing for as 5th gen.... Dunno if that could be it, doubt it though..... Now, SECOND... My car was side swiped in December... Like on the police chases, it spun me around... They replaced the rear suspension.... Parts of it at least.... I got my car back on the 24, for christmas all new and good... About a week later I noticed a squeaking noise when I drive... I have had the car in pieces and havent been driving it much until last week.... It squeaks and worries me pretty good... I think I am going to take it back up there.... Where they fixed it... Anyone know what could be causing it... It squeaks a little when accelrating..... It squeaking really bad when just cruising/maintaining speed... And it quits squeaking when I push the brakes down good.... It kinda feels like a bolt is missing or sumtin... It does feel like it wiggles some when I stop hard.... I dunno if it could be a bad brake or a sway bar or what....Any clues?

I think the noise could be your flexy hose piece of your exhaust check for holes I have just had the same problem as you described. It turn out that I need the piece of exhaust pipe which connects to the manifold at a expensive 287 pounds. Got to get it done because when revs hit 2000 it honks likes a pig.......

I had the same problem with my'98 Type SH. It was a weird resonating sound in the same rpm range. I thought it might have been a heat shield, but it turned out to be the A-pipe. No holes, but the dealership said that the inner wall of the A-pipe was coming apart. I had never heard of this, but I wasn't willing to put another factory A-pipe on if it was only going to last for 50k miles! I just had a Mugen header put on and the weird sound is gone. I'm pretty happy with the power gains too!
