Noise!!!
Ok, so my alternator belt will not stop making noise for anything. It's that god awful screeching when i start the car...but if it's real warm, it won't do it. The tensioner is as tight as I can get it to go, and it still won't stop. I even loosened it thinking perhaps it was too tight but it just made it worse so I tightened it back up. I just changed the belt in January, so I don't see why it'd need to be changed again so soon. Anyone know what the problem could be?
mine did that for a long time, you need to take out the tensinoer bolt and re install it, make sure it competely in correctly, i did that to mine, and it tighted a lot more, and completely stopped screeching, man do i hate that noise, horrible sound, and embarrasing too lol..peace
I tried loosening it up, and it still didn't help it. I messed around with it for a good 45 minutes and I came to the conclusion that it hates me so I stopped. I will try again though soon, because that noise is the worst! Thanks!!
You could have destroyed these bearings already... Try to pull of the belt for a while and start the engine. Then you can be sure that your alternator is out of order :/

If it was your alternator bearings it would make noise all he time...not just when you start it up....Sure you got the right belt? Maye you need to replace it....if you let them go for too long the the belt gets glazed from squeaking...and after that it will do it non stop...
