Default no Vtec

Can I start/run the car without a vtec solenoid on the motor?
I got the motor without it, and noone around me owns an h-series.
This is the end of my build so will the car even start?
I don't care if it throws codes or anything.
And will it mess the car up running without it.

Thanks.

Where you from? I got one sitting on my bench at the house, I would think if you crank it is going to shoot oil out of there though..

yeah you have oil shotting out all over the place, deffinately get the right part on there first. I know its exciting to get it started but its not exciting to get in a hurry and have something damaged.
