if you have money saved up for a new motor,
throw nitrous in the f22 and run the **** out of it till
it blows

I would recommend the ZEX kit (wet kit is now released) or the NX kit. Both are nice kits when setup properly. I'd only recommend the NOS brand if you have a good installer or have experience setting up nitrous setups. I'm currently running a 55 shot from Zex when I get the urge and have to say I installed it myself in about half a day with remote bottle opener and good soldering on the wiring (wouldn't use those cheap taps supplied)

i will be pushin 11.5:1 with a 100 shot Direct Port NX. if you go DP you will have to wait until you get your new engine. it has to tap into the intake mani somewhere (butterfly valve is a good place).

NX makes the best kit IMO. i have no experience with the new wet ZEX kits. i personally run a NOS kit, only because i got a hella deal on it. any kit will work on both engines. your best bet is to get the NX EFI wet kit.

and as far as compression, n2o is more friendly than boost, you can get away with 11.5:1 and race fuel without any problems. if you go more than a 50-60 shot, i suggest getting a timing retard module or a MSD digital 6+ ignition and retard the timing 1-2 deg on a 75 shot and 2-3 on a 100 shot. i personally dont like to use more than a 100 shot on a single fogger setup, but i know a few ppl who run 130 and 150 shots on thiers. also, if you want more than a 75 shot, you really need to upgrade your fuel pump. A nice 255lph would do it along with a fpr. for added safety, get yourself a MSD window switch.

oh, and if you go direct port, you do not have to wait for the h22, you can just move the kit from one engine to the other with minimal change.

Thats sounds good.. I would take it into fastlane to dyno that.. I should be putting down 275hp to the wheels when I am done.

a friend of mine had an NX 75 shot on his 98 SH. it had some pretty good power. he ran my buddies 2k mustang GT with the GT off the bottle. The GT was far from stock I.E. 3.73 gears, bull bassani exhuast, pulleys, intake, fully built rear end, and a few other mods. and it was pretty damn close until my buddy in the gt shifted into 3rd gear. so the lude had some good power. but he was an idiot and sprayed in 1st gear all the time.

when he traded the car in for his WRX. the girl who bought it (we talked to her about two months after she bought it.) had to replace drivers side axle, the clutch, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder about a two weeks after she bought it.

he never really had any problems with the NX kit and i have heard nothing but good reports from other people who have used it.

I am having a hard time understanding the benefits of putting the dry kit nozel directly infront of the TB. For one, if you place the nozle further away, it allows the nitrous to cool the air and more time to mix allowing a better distribution into each cylinder. On almost every dry setup i see people place the nozle directly infront. WHY?

I believe most kits tell you to place it withing 18 inches of the TB if the Nitrous is not pressurized for too long it breaks down and you lose effectivness.

i mentioned that to a NOS tech but they told me otherwise. place w/ in 6 inches from t.b.

6 inches is standard....and yes n20 loses pressure when it leaves the nozzle, which is why it comes out a gas. If you didnt know it travels through the line as a liquid. Generally the thought is the farther away from the TB the better the fuel n20 distribution (on a wet kit), on a dry kit it makes no difference as long as its 6 inches or more away. The nitrous is so cold it still massively cools the charge no matter where you put it on the intake
