Default Nitrous

I recently go to thinking that I might get some N2Oand I was wondering what was a safe spray to go for that would give me a good boost but minimal damage on stock internals??? 50shot? 75?
Also what should I get with the kit? New fuel pump? and how much more speed should I expect from x amount shot?
O and Ive been looking at the ZEX kits and they say it activates itself when at full throttle. Is there a way to change it? and make it so its either at full throttle or at the push of a button?
And how much am I lookin for once installed?

First off I would do a little more research on how Nitrous works and what application are out there so that you are sure that its what u want!

Allot of ppl are mistaken on how it really works and what it really does (its not like the FNF)

I think that you should probably start off with a 50-60 shot depending on the jets that the kits come with! A dry kit only shoots Nitrous in to intake manifold, a wet shot uses both Nitrous and fuel. The most common brands are NX, Nos, Zex and Venom. Also the WOT sensor is the best way to go, I dont kow why you would need to spay off the throttle ( not really a good idea )

Well, if I type "NItrous" in search I get 3 things.."help reading spark plugs","nitrous bottle pressure ", and "rigging nitrous nozzle"...Thx though...My questions are PRELUDE Specific... I don't care what the kids are doing to their civics... I need info about preludes..
Anyways I am only interested in the wet kits, and I know that it isn't like the FNF. I just want the 4banger to have a bit more kick to it. And this is the cheapest way to do it.
But 50-60 shot should be fairly safe?

a 60 shot of nos is the highest you should go if your run the stock internals. if want more avoid the dry system and upgrade the internals

Do you think it might work a tad bit better? Since the air is coming straight at it? dangerous for hydro-lock?

i would get a zex wet kit again, they install easy and evetythings in the nitrous managment unit. i run a 55 shot and my car still runs like a champ 2 bottles later, 96 prelude S with over 100k, im sure it could take more, havent got around to messing with my ignition. hp/shot is about what it says, probly a little less - 55 shot = 55 hp (an so on), id guess a little less. the only other thing u need is colder plugs - i use NGK BKR7E, about $7 for all four. shop around, if you want a zex wet kit (82021 - all honda efi) i sell em for $510 shipped. i hear direct port systems are good too. 55 shot really aint ****.. but definently adds the top end power my f22 lacks. id get a better clutch. only time i seen push button nitrous was in fast and furious and i think it was just to look cool.

should'nt need a upgrade fuel pump on a stock/ mild bolt-ons engine.

im no expert, just what i've learned from honda tech members/ my own experience.

yeah i think it would be better than a regular cold air intake system. the price is not bad at all. a short ram intake goes for 80 to 100 bucks. so its a pretty good deal IMO. how much better i would not know until it is put on a dyno to make a comparison. i think the only way it would hydrolock is if the whole lower front of ur car was submerged in water . the intake should b at the same level as ur foglights (if u hav any). but wen raining season hits ur neck of woods put the short ram intake. b sides who races in the rain and the temp should b kool anyways.

Ya the ZEX kit is what's been recomended it seems. So you guys think with a 50-55 shot I could run it w/out problems? I should have mentioned that the lude is my daily driver.... if that changes anything....
I might look into that front mount xcold air intake... But I think I would just try to avoid big puddles. I dunno. we'll see. And I see those things, I believe their called Vtec controlers???? OR something like that it comes with like a screen that looks like a cd player.. What does it do?

quick "off topic" question. When is the trial user thing under my name going to go away so I can post more than 5 post in 24 hours???

Well, I have decided on the 80 shot, and should be able to give some feedback in the next week. I am starting with an 80shot, and want to make my way to a 100 shot, then maybe even a 125. I have all the necessary ignition and fuel precautions handled. And if the bottom end blows...Oh well! Time to rebuild and set her up for a HUGE Direct Port setup with forged guts.
20 per cyl is the rule of thumb, and unless its an NX kit...its over-rated.
expect a 20% loss in WHP from the SHOT rating.
