Default new tune 302hp

got the prelude tuned at 7psi
need new alternator and map sensor for higher psi

but i took it out to the local drags

and i couldnt get lower times than 13.6 that was my best time.

does that sound right or what do i need to get better times
iam also a noob at drag racing so maybe that?

my 60s where like 2.2

reaction i think 1.1 lol

i dont have a traction bar

no weight reduction

i have 225/50/15 bfg drag radials id lower the psi to 20 psi

i did beat some good cars out there, gutted srt4s, new camaro ss, camaro ls1, mustang 5.0. do they do shitty times cause of the elevation? 3,800

any tips thanks

a 2.0 60' is possible with street tires and if you could acheive that, your 13.6 would be more like a 13.2 and for 300 whp, that seems about right to me? What did you trap? For power, speed is a better indicator than ET.

For the kind of power you are making, weight and type of tires; your times are actually pretty good. I would recommend get some more seat time, warm up your tires well and try testing with a little lower tire pressures.

After that get some traction bars, limited slip diff, and map sensor; turn up the power and go have some more fun!

Hit me up if you need a hook up on performance parts or sensors.

13.6's aren't bad for the hp....but a 1.1 reaction is terrible. 2.2 60's i get that with falkens in my F22. Just like scmil95eg said if you can get out the hole faster should be able to bring those mid 13's down to low 13's. seat time, it's the only thing you can't buy is a driver....lol

i've ran my falkens rt615's as low as 12-14 never had problems

reaction time has no effect on ET.
I was getting 1.9 60ft on bfg drag radials a long time ago.
You should be able to hit a low 13 with 300whp.
I'm running 13.5 on street tires, not even drag radials with 257whp.
Whats the trap speed?

Yeah I was getting 2.0 60 ft times with the skinnier 205 BFG drag radials, and I ran them at 14 psi. No traction bar, window welded motor mounts.

If you can get the 60 ft down, you will see a bigger effect on your e.t. as well, as said, 300 WHP should be good for low 13's high 12's. I ran a 12.9 with pretty much spot on 300 WHP, and at 2200 ft elevation.

One of the biggest things that makes a good launch is properly pre-loading the car at launch. Look around in the drag forum, or find videos of launching from in-car cams. Pretty much you are loading the drivetrain against the e-brake, and releasing the energy to go forward, instead of breaking traction or hopping down the track.

Oh, and if you want to seriously see what the car can do at the track, ditch the drag radials and get slicks, a 23/8.5 on a 15 inch rim dropped my 60 ft by around 3 tenths, and they only have 3 runs on them, so I am sure they will get more sticky still.

doesnt seem right to me, id think you could get better times but maybe its just me. im n/a with stock internals, built tranny and tuned with hondata. i ran a 13.3 full interior with street tires and a 12.9 with my slicks. everyone always says my car is a freak but i dyno'd at 187whp and 167tq
