New head gasket?
First i want to start off that i know i used the wrong head gasket for my h22. i used a 97+(open deck)HG on a 93(closed deck) block. oil is leaking from the back where the HG is.
My question is can i use Hondabond or a simular type of sealent to seal it up?
btw the engine hold even compression across 4 and there isn't any coolent leak or oil in the coolent.

Ha funny you say that I've had something similiar this happen on a car before (H23headgasket on h23vtec when it should have been the H22 gasket) . Trust me just get the correct headgasket and save yourself the trouble. The hondabond will not hold. Something a little stronger like Indian head would possibly work for a short period of time. But i wouldnt bank on it just my 2cents

I know its leaking oil its more then likely leaking right on the back corner just above the water pump you dont want the under of your car oil soaked for 1 and for 2 oil on the timing belt is a big no no. Its going to hold compression because of the same bore (87mm) Another thing to think about is the oil passage thats not getting oil in to the head because its leaking out could possibly be starving those rockers or other parts of the head in that corner from getting the proper oil lubrication.
