First, I am new to the board. Well, kind of, over the last year or so i have been hanging around all the honda sites learning whatever i can. I am about to buy a new car. My price limit is about 18000. Until recently i have been pretty sure that my next car would be a 1997 prelude. Now i am uncertain. I hadn't really considered an accord at all. I love the new coupe v6's. I know that i can't expect the accord to be as fast as the prelude but i think it might fit me better. I grow tired of messing with a standard all the time. I have test-driven a prelude but not an accord. Has anyone here owned both/driven both? Bought one and wished you had got the other?

I haven't driven both... but I've raced both. A 97 Lude puts up a lot better fight.

I've drvien both. I agree with JG Luder. The Accord is more of Luxary car, with a good or amount power. But the prelude has more power to offer, along with the luxary feel. I have driven my friends 2000 Accord EX V6, and i like it. But my prelude has a more sportier feel.

Definately the Prelude. Power may be comparable, but when it comes to handling the 'Lude will drive circles around the Accord.
