thats all fine, but i still want something to mate with the pipe size of the evo 2, i find it hard to believe that aftermarket cats are not as reliable as the OEM one. if there is one that provides better flow while still meeting OEM specifications for OBDII compliance, i would greatly appreciate some information.

How can you not believe that aftermarket cats are not as quality as OEM ones?? You can get a carsound for 60 bucks, while OEM ones will cost over 200$. The main reason the OEM cats are so expensive is because of the precious metals like platinum used in the OEM cats. I doubt the 60$ aftermarket cat has precious metals needed to catylize pollutive gases. Just get OEM.

While you're absolutly correct, he needs a cat that will bolt up to a 2.5 inch diamater pipe. If im not mistaken, dont OEM cats have a 2 inch flange? Correct me if im wrong.

In any case, im wondering the same thing, im going to be doing a collector mod to a greddy header fairly soon, and i wanted to find a cat that would match the collector's piping size.
