I have a 1990 Si. My problem is ~sometimes~ it won't start, it will just turn over and over and over.... all 4 cylinders are getting spark. I will unhook two of the plug wires from the cap and it will kind of fumble then plug them back on and it will start. any ideas?

 

before starting try turning the key to ignition for a few seconds and then turn it off, and repeat this a few times and see if the car starts more easily. It could be a fuel filter, main relay, or other parts of the fuel system that you need to diagnose

 

Try replacing your distributor cap, rotor and plug wires. Sounds like something is on it's way out.

Okay, new cap, rotor, and wires. Hasn't done it yet so far, but sometimes it turns over prolly like 10 times before it starts...

Any ideas?

 

Any ideas from anybody else? I haven't replaced the fuel filter yet, but I will next weekend.
