Default Need to know why....

Thanks for reading. I need to know, why is it not good to have motor oil above the upper mark on the dipstick?
Thanks.

A little is fine but oil does expand dont know how much> the problem gets when pressure gets to high you blow out seals. Also I think not sure windage becomes a problem.

What seals would get blown out by having the oil level too high?

Cams, Crank front and rear but pressure would have to be pretty high.

if your oil level is too high, the oil will foam up from getting beat around by the crankshaft. when the oil is foam, and not liquid, the pump cannot push it through the motor. this will starve your engine of oil.

this is called "cavitating the pump"
