Need help with ignition problem...
JDM h22a, just did a complete swap last year with ecu & trans. The motor was builted '94 which coded on the block.
Yesterday on my way to school the car just shut off. The rpm drop all the way down and die when I let go of gas before the stop and can't get it back up. oh my ac was on too. in a hot day. With the AC on which lower the rpm than normal.
Today I pull my car back home and do some testing.
1. Checked the fuel by disconnect the hose after the fuel filter and turn the ignition on. The fuel is gushing out strong.
2. Checked all the fuse ok and the main relay is switching on and off heard ticking
3. tried different spark plug wires and diz cap. Still nothing
4. took off the valve cover and do visual inspection on timing belt still okay.
5. test sparks nothing, but spark plugs are all dry, should it be wet if no spark and the fuel is pumping?
I tried to take off the coil, but I stuck on the rotor. Can't take the rotor off. The dizz rotor doesn't seem to be turning. I did researches.. some people said it should be able to turn by hand? I'll go try it in a few. I was going to take off the coil and replace with new one but here I'm stuck. Out of ideas.. Please point out some direction on to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance
Oh.. I just replaced the fuel tank couple of weeks ago with the old fuel pump and assembly. The pump was replaced 2 years ago and the main relay at the same time

99% sure it's ur coil or ignitor... just unscrew the screw in the rotor, take the rotor off, and then unscrew the coil and replace and see if that fixes it.
That was what I'm going to do, but the screw is not align so where I can get to it. I can't get the rotor turn. I was going to check if I can turned by hand but still doing more research. What is it mean when the dist. rotor is not turning, no matter how many time I crank it still in the same position. Thanks
