Default Mods for h22a

I just swapped a jdm h22a in my 92 prelude i just put intake full exhaust and had the head ported and polished. maybe around aug. i'll go boost but for now i would like to have some more n/a power. what mods can i do that won't hurt my plans for turbo later down the road and will make me pretty quick?

Pull your transmission and put in a Final Drive Gear and a LSD. Fawk a Turbo...

Also, you could get a nice tune with a p72/Hondata setup.

Thats your best bet, bud.

i was just reading an article on hondatuningmagazine about getting up to 30 more horsepower in the h22. They did this by throwing in larger camshafts and wahle pistons. Here's the article.

I actually might do this myself. Ive been contemplating about boost but i like the idea of extracting the most out of an engine. Turbo is nice to show off though

of course cams and pistons will increase hp. you have 6 n/a cams to choose from from skunk2. ranging from slightly more aggressive to absurd. but be careful of choosing cams because turbo cams are different from n/a cams and the op said he wants to boost.

right thats why cams and pistons are one thing i wont replace right now for n/a what about upgrading the fuel and air components? like a bigger fuel rail injectors throttle body intake manifold....can i upgrade those parts without really raising the comp. of the motor?

fuel rail an injectors will be a waste of money right now, and any TB that will be usable on a stock engine will be a restriction with boost

Euro R manifold and Bored out stock TB port matched

Tuned ECU and preferably a wideband with an adjustable FPR

K&N Air Filter

Vibrant, ESP, or the New TriY Header

ESP traction Bar system with Front Mount

Final Drive Gear & LSD *****

That should get you close to 200whp and actually putting it to the ground will be pretty quick. I think this is an ideal setup with stock internals. Really, I'd spend all your money in the transmission first because I'm telling you, it's Key! Actually putting power down makes a big difference which I'm sure you know.

you can't mod an H22. It's never been done before. I laugh when people say they want to put them in civics and other cars too. hahaha, how absurd!

...sigh. Just use the search feature on the forum, there's tons of info on here.

i dont think a skunk2 IM and TB that are portmatched 70mm would hurt. I have one and i picked up some top end with it. If you're gonna get a fuel rail and fpr, get injectors and a vafc at least to make them useful until you go boost.
