Default modified distributor cap

Who makes modified distributor caps for Preludes? I want to run an ignition system with an external coil?

Unless you have JDM I'm sure that your H22 has an external coil already.
JDMs might be external coil, too, but I don't know for sure.

I have a JDM motor and all JDM motors have internal coils.

Never thought of doing that. However, that will be more expensuve than just buying a cap for it. That's why I'm looking for a cap first

The usdm F22 runs a internal coil cap that will fit your JDM internal coil H22 distrubitor if all your looking for is a replcement. Unless you want one of those cute colored clear ones.

I want to run an external coil. My engine has an internal coil. I am looking for a company that makes a cap that I can use with the external coil

It's been a few years but I'm pretty sure that the replacement cap that I bought was a Crane cap (they list a cap for the H22 on their site). It works fine but it is not that different than the stock cap so I suggest that you buy whichever one is cheaper. For me it was the Crane cap.

i think MSD sells just the ignition coil tower to plug into your stock distributor. basically you have to drill a hole in your cap and screw in the tower and you plug the external ignition coil into that

Naa thats the actual manufacturers website.......... just poke around on there...... they have a whole explaination of what exactly they do, go to products and look at the TEC3 unit...(tec1 and tec2 are the older and easier to tune in my opinion versions) and the direct fire modules..... the direct firing units are what eleminates the distributor....
