i don't know if i can use mobil1 5w 30 for my 93 vtec lude cause the manual book says 10w 30 , for 5 gen u suppose to use 5w 30 if i switch to 5w 30 ,am i gonna damage the engine or anything like that. And anyone here use 5w 30 for there 4gen lude vtec

5w30 is the weight for most all honda engines. However this might be different for the 4th generation. It will not harm engine at all if you switch. You might even gain a horse power, haha, yay. Anyway, I would recommend synthentic. Proven that is has almost no difference between conventional oil, but...

I use Kendall 5w-30. Get some syntec if you can afford it every 3000.

For the 5g, 5W30 is recommened from below -20 and only up to 95 degrees F.
10W30 is recommended from 15 to over 100 degrees F.

Accordingly (heh I said Accord) I run 10W30 for the hottest summer months and 5W30 the rest of the year.

There you go. If you have crazy hot summers then run a heavier weight oil.
