Default M2B4 JDM H22 LSD Transmission Differences... Need a rear case :)

Just thought I would post up my findings did some quick homework with matching up overseas part #s and also talking with Synchrotech and HMO.

JDM H22 M2B4 LSD 92-95 Transmission... I had a spare M2B4 transmission with clutch housing but no rear case was broken upon friends accident. Always heard the transmission was different and could not use either clutch housing or rear case off any other H22/F transmission.

The clutch housing is the same and will inner change
21000-P16-000 - innerchangable
The rear case will not swap with anything in the H22/F line up. It is all by its self...
21200-P16-000 - all by itself

It seems the rear case on the M2B4 is a little taller or wider. So in theory should be able to swap the clutch housings non lsd to lsd if you have correct rear case (M2B4).

The 96-01 Preludes have a different part # but should be same as Base Model. SI VTEC/SIR model overseas.

If anyone has a junked out M2B4 and wants to help me out with a rear case please let me know.

Since you are using terms that some guys may not normally use, i.e. I say Bellhousing side, which may be the clutch housing that you are using, do you want to post up a pic with the sides as you ID them?

I ask because the previous info on this trans has always been that the main casing is the same as most H/F trans, and the bellhousing/clutch side had a deeper section for the LSD to clear. I would love it if the opposite is the case, as I have a M2B4 with damaged threads where the shifter cable bracket mounts, and a few extra cases around for M2A/S etc trans.

Bellhousing/Clutch housing is the same and rear case is back half where the shifter is on and transmission mount studs are on. Transmission Case is rear case. Clutch case is bellhousing.
