LUDE RIP
97 Prelude SH RIP.
What Replacement car should i get?
What do you think it worth? NADA says ~ 7k
Looking at Vw TDi possibly a WRX.
Not that many nice hondas in my price range
I don;t want a civic or accord.
I don't know how much i will get from insurance yet. These cars seem to hold there value very good.
Accident wasn't my fault, I wasn't even near the car. It was parked in front of my house when hit.

^ No i am not. I can see how much the insurance company wants.
I currently drive a B5 S4. Want something reliable.
Not a fan of Vws.( bad reliability and expensive parts)

yea, the car is definitely fixable. The quarter panel would have to be cut and replaced, rear bumper replaced, rear bumper support, trunk lid and probably a few other small things. I've seen cars look worse than that and still come out and look like nothing was wrong.
With all the right equipment and tools, anything is possible. Here's a good example of a 4th Gen Prelude. The owner lives about 45min. from me

One of my friends has a 2001 gti 1.8t, he says its the worse car he has ever owned. Too many electrical problems to deal with according to him

Personally, I'd grab a cheap used 4th gen with a H22 and manual tranny. For me, a little maintenance is way better than a car payment (because I do all my own work). I travel a lot for business and I've yet to get a rental car worth a damn. Otherwise, the Feard fusion is about the least communist/annoying/nanny equipped late model affordable car I've driven. The mustang makes a noise like it could do something, but it doesn't. I'd run from anything built by Government Motors.
I would never buy a Gas powered Vw. But currently im thinking a Vw diesel is my next car. I own a Euro so i know that there reliability sucks and parts are way over priced. I have a quick car so speed doesn't mater to me.
I might part out the car depending on how much i can buy it back from the insurance company.

i miss my 337 gti. it was the perfect DD, except for the fact that it was such a limited edition car. any excessive mileage really hurt the value, so it was sold.
if you just need the ultimate DD, get a 96-00 civic. low pressure turbo on an sohc, or, keep it bone stock. steel wheels with snow tires when needed. those cars are super easy to work on from absolutely every aspect and all of the parts they included on those cars are top notch, from the HVAC, to the dash bulbs, to the engine bay sheetmetal. and the 6th gen civic IMO was the epitome of practical engineering.
^ I dont want to drop money on a sohc. Its still going to be slow and FWD. Keeping it stock and beating on it is more my style.
Any interest in the Rims? 17"OEM RSX type-s
Front tires Pzero Nero summer tires 215-40-ZR17 lots of tread left.
Willing to include 1 more, lots of tread left.
Rear tires Dunlop sport 9000 215-40-ZR17
1 rim has a little rash from someone mounting a tire. Other 3 rims just have small nicks barley noticeable.
