It depends on what you use your car for.If you uase it for racing LSD is good to keep the power on the ground. FWD is bad enough....getting an LSD will make it better.

As many of the people have said, It depends on what you use the car for. Now if you are a agressive driver then a lsd is a good idea. If you are planning on drag racing and or auto-x or road racing then a LSD is just about essential (sp).
I have just installed a M2B4 (jdm lsd) tranny in my 5th gen and i LOVE the lsd. The push thru the corner is greatly reduced and that is on my crappy winter tires!
I Auto-x and i see myself as agressive driver and i would hate to have to go back to a open diff!
If you are buying a new motor and trying to decide between the open and lsd pagkages spend the extra $300~ it is SO worth it!
Any wuestions let me know.

I second this statement, unfortunatly the company that i got my JDM w/ LSD. screwed me and i didnt get LSD. when my tranny goes out, im going to have to find me one with LSD.

when i got my jdm h22a swap i got the m2b4 lsd tranny, i think it makes a noticeable difference when it comes to drag racing. i don't think i could hit the times i do without it. with my yoko es100 tires, i can constantly break 2.1x 60' times, close to 2.0x 60'.

get a quaife, puts the power to the ground and is worth it if you run 1/4 ile, autox or on the street. and if you have turbo and your ripping the tires loose

What engine are you running? what kind of induction? NA or FI? What altitude? What kind of driving? Drag strip, auto-x or road course? Are you an agressive driver? These are all good questions.

I live at 6000' elevation so I have 20% less power here and I have a stock H22 so I am only putting about 140 hp to the ground and even less torque. So if I go to the strip I probably would not benefit much from a LSD since it is straight line driving and I have sticky tires to give me more traction, mind you lower elevations would be a different story. But at auto-x and the road course there is a huge difference in tight turns while hard on the gas even here at 6000'.

For forced induction I would say that a LSD is a must. Even a mild boost setup at 6 psi puts abot 250hp to the ground and on a FWD that means that you will be peg-legging all over the place.

The M2B4 is a really cool tranyy too since it has really close and low gearing in 1st through 4th but 5th gear is taller than even the Prelude S. That is great for highway driving and top speed on FI setups where power is not the limiting factor on top speed.

hope it helps
