Default Lowering caused alignment problem

Since my 93 Prelude was lowered, the rear toe is out of the adjustment range. It is currently at -.07, and the service limit is .08 +/- .08 Will the difference between 0.0 and -.07 eat my tires?

Thanks for any help!

its currently a total of .07 degrees toe-out, or each wheel is 0.07 degrees out?

either way, that is a tiny amount, from which you will notice so side effects.

One side is -.07 and the other is -.05 Not at 0.0, but pretty close. Should I raise the car to get within range?

When you set the tow it will change your camber. A 2" drop with the toe set to factory will give you a -1.5 camber. Great for Autocross/Track, but you need to rotate your tires to get some life out of them. Or you can get a camber kit or adjustable ball joint.

I installed a camber kit, but it's the kind that moves the upper control arm mount at the unibody. So my camber is OK, but toe is off. I should have bought the adjustable ball joint style. Is -.07 enough to shred tires?

I just went and got my tires realigned (which is what you are supposed to do anyway after you lower your car.)

Unfortunately the alignment shop said the eccentric bolt style adjuster is out of range, and there are no adjustable rods made. I could buy adjustable ball joints, but I'd probably choose to raise the ride height before spending more money. I'm hoping it's close enough now.

Should be ok for now ... but really, a camber kit isn't that expensive for our cars. Just that it takes a lot of tweaking to get it right the first time ..

I'm down 1.5" so I'm not going to bother ..

I got the ebay kind that adjusts the upper control arm where it mounts to the unibody. It was a mistake (although cheap at $100) because it caused the arms in the front to rub the fender and didn't allow extra toe inthe rear. I'd buy the SPC adjustable ball joint kind instead.

i would make sure that toe is set just right, otherwise you will eat tires like you would not believe.
