Default lost motion assembly question

I have just finished building my H22A1 all motor set up and i have a noticed a loud ticking at low RPM's. above 3k this "ticking" goes away, but i am convinced, after some diagnosis, that it is my lost motion devices. I thought maybe the crower stage 3 camshafts might be putting a load on them? I was wondering if anyone knew where to get performance ones or if another set of stock ones would work? I have been searching around and just can't seem to find anyone selling performance LMA's. has anyone else had this problem with their H22?

do you ahve the crower raised retainers?

If so, you need to get your rockers grinded and balanced.

What diagnosis did you do? - Did you adjust the valve clearances to spec? high lift cams will always have slightly louder valve tick than stock.

-Try using Honda 5W-40 maybe it will quiet things down a bit.

I've had the same thing happen with stage 2's. You do have to have the rockers clearanced if running the crower valvetrain. The pop/tick is so loud I cringe when I'd here it before I bought new 99 and up lude LMA's. Just get new ones, how many miles are on yours?

i have the crower retainer kit that was recomended for these camshafts, i think they are just titanium retainers( i am not familiar with "raised" retainers). I have set the valve lash twice now, .008" on the exhaust and .006" on the intake, i got these specs from the cam card. These LMA's have 110,000 miles on them and i did not know that 99 and up LMA's on a lude were different. where can i buy brand new ones? thank you guys so much for your info.

Hondaautomotiveparts.com , do a search for 99 LMA's think it's in the rocker subtitle. If you search 2000 and up the page won't be the right one, the site was messed up last time. Just get 99 LMA's they're a coil type design!
