Bought my H23 from hmotorsonline. However, it is an h23a3 - internal coil distributor and no knock sensor.

Tried craigslist?

Can't help with a full motor as I spun a bearing, but I have a good condition head sitting in my garage!

would i still be able to use the non-vtec el gauges for the vtec h23a?
do they redline at different points?

will a (U.S.) h23a1 tranny work well with the h23a (vtec)??

or would it be better off to just get the h23a tranny also

that's not an H23A1 then...
you'll probably get one with an automatic trannsmission;
so you'll have to mate it with a 5 speed one

well i can either get an h23a (vtec) with transmission or without.

but since it would be vtec.. with a non-vtec tranny i didn't know how it would work.

cause i keep finding non-vtec h23a's and then vtec h23a's
