i bought a 93vtec that was running like ****, and not at all properly maintained, i thought i could resurect it by replacing some basic parts, after failing i decided i should just put anymore money into a euro accord longblock, or a jdm type s longblock because after reading a thread by lone luder i decided i didnt really want to get into a big N\A project, and forced induction is far out of my league, so i want to go with one of those longblocks and just tune it really good, main application drag, anyone have any opinions on which motor to go with, i have already had a jdm h22, and i want more power than that stock, and since im not doing internals, i want all the power i can get, and i also couldnt find any sites with the type s longblock, only found complete swap
have you done a compression test on the engine you have now?
what basic parts did you replace.
you could probably beef up the engine you have now to
run stronger than a stock type-s or euro-r for cheaper than a swap.

thats exactly how i would end up spending alot more than i want, and get into a big project, i just want to do the swap, then tune it really well, and i know the euro accord and type s are very simular, and im wondering which would be best to go into my 93 vtec

i previosly had a 4g with a jdm h22 but flipped it(dont ask), with insurance money i got a 93vtec with a nice body\interior that ran like ****, with the plans of doing a swap, so thats where im at now euro accord, or type s, im trying to get opinions on both of them as far as longblock, i believe both will drop right in my 93vtec farely easy
btw got a quote for the euro accord longblock 2100 shipped, and ive seen the type s longblock for about 3000, but cant remeber the site it was on though
satan????? can u give me your evil opinion?

thanks i didnt see that thread
btw i called hmotors two days ago and he gave me a price quote of 2100 shipped for the euro accord, gave me some money off because i ordered a motor from there before, and i found a type s longblock on allbodykits.com for 3000+shipping, not sure if its worth the extra money, thats what im tryin to find out, i know the type s has more hp, but heard the euro accord has a little better torque, so thats what im trying to figure out now
euro accord for 2100 shipped, or type s 3000+shipping???????, definetely willing to spend the extra money for the type s if its worth it.

For $2100, you can send your h22a block off and have it built with sleeves, rods, and higher compression pistons to match the CR of the JDM type S as well as having it bulletproof. You could probably have your head P&P too. Just a thought.
