Default life of 4th Gen Suspension

How many miles on the odometer would you expect before the suspension starts wearing out? My front driver's side tire keeps scraping the wheel well on hard right hand curves. I'm not sure if its a worn out suspension or because the tire is a little oversized. I believe its about 1" larger diameter than the stock tire. It's mounted on the stock wheel.

i would say both, it is prob worn out, but i think the shocks would hit the stops before the wheels hits the fender on an all stock set up

Yeah, it's more than likely both. A bigger tire never helps scrubbing, but depending on mileage and driving conditions, the suspension could also be fairly worn.

i cant remember the exact size but i believe they are like 2xx/65/r15 or something. they are all weather michelins that i hate cuz they are so high profile and not the greatest rubber. i think what you said about the bump stop pretty much answered my question. its definitely not bumping, its scraping. i've never noticed it before the last month, and i believe its happened fairly regularly lately. i can see spots where the black in the wheelwell is down to the red paint. would mieneke be able to tell me if the suspension is going out?

sound like your suspension is having probs, i have 17" on mine with a 2.5 drop with stock suspension and have had it like that for 6 years. I still haven't had any probs at all with it
