Ok its only been the last few days i seem to be having clutch problems. I smell it burning for some reason, even when i drive babying the clutch i get an occasional wiff of the unmistakable smell of burning clutch. CLutch is only around 10k old and not abused. I hope its all in my mind but i doubt it. Anyway today i went to put the car in reverse on a slightly down sloping hill and before i gave it alittle gas with the clutch down and gearbox in reverse i hear a knock knock knock noise that seemed to not go away until i gave it alittle gas and backed in. The noise seemed to be coming from behind me.

 

what kind of clutch do you have? obviously not the original...

is it the stock flywheel and if so, was it machined when the clutch was replaced?
im not exactly sure where drexel hill is... but i'd take a look at it for you if you want. i live in philly and work as a tech at a honda/toyota dealer in conshohocken

 

Its near springfield/havertown/broomall if u know where any of those are. And the flywheel was changed when the clutch was changed.

 

maybe a spring came out of the clutch?

what type of clutch did you use when you replaced it?

 

Just OEM clutch, nothing special. Im not even sure which brand this was awhile back when i first got the car and didnt know much
