Default Knock sensor

I have a h22 from a 2001 lude in my cb7. I just did the swap. I ran all the wires I needed. I am running a P0F ecu and I am getting a code 23 ( knock sensor).
I am thinking I have a loose wire or a bad sensor but someone said I need a obd1 knock sensor so is there such a thing as a obd1 or obd2 knock sensor?

Did you add the knock sensor wires to the harness? All H22 knocks sensors are the same. Could just be a bad sensor

Yes I ran all the wires I needed.
Will a knock sensor make the car run hot because I had to drive it accross town in the airzona heat to get parts for my other Accord and the gauge got 70% up there. I was wondering if its running lean and getting hot or something because of tthe knock sensor. I ordered one online so I have to wait for it to get here.

No, it is not the cause of your vehicles hot running condition.....

I dont know anything about the over heating but knock sensor is malfunctioning and your timing gets retard making the car run like crap i know this because it happen to me before on a h22a OBD1 engine on a cb7 and its happening again on a 98 prelude with h22A4 obd2 that i have.

I figured out what I did... The knock sensor is in the same spot as a oil pressure sensor on a f22 so I hooked the knock sensor and oil pressure sensor up backwards thinking the knock sensor was the oil pressure sensor. I realized what I did after reading this thread this thread http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=156568
I am going to fix the wiring and see what that does for my car.

there you go.. well if you had a code 23 right after you turn the car on then yes it would be likely to be fix but if its the annoying code 23 that comes up after running the car a little then you my friend are in trouble because that issue drives man kind insane.

obd1 obd 2 ? as far as i know there is only 1 knock sensor for Honda nothing to do with obd 1 or 2 just the shape of the plug is a little different but the functions is the same as well as the single wire. now then when you say runs like crap what do you mean what is it doing? .

am guessing slow acceleration weak vtec engine revs and revs gets loud but you seem to go no where.

basically puts the vehicle in limp mode warning you to get it fixed and don't run it hard or else you'll damage your engine.

A Knock sensor CEL will not cause any limp mode or such it just retards the timing really bad making the car run like crap because that's the function of the KS .

In that thread you see they talk about how the knock sensor wire needs to be shielded. You may have that problem and on a related note, so may I. I will be getting shielded wire myself.
