knock sensor?
i searched and there are a lot of things about this but not exactly what i have
i can drive around for a bit and a CEL will come on a little bit later, random times from normal driving.
when i floor it, it bogs into vtec like crazy
its like hitting a limiter or something but it slowly keeps going and it'll smooth out and go all the way to redline
its just hesitation and right when it switches into vtec.
anybody know if this is the knock sensor for sure? i will pull the code soon though.

You haven't pull the code ??
I keep a bent paper clip in my car at all times, in fact.. I think my service connector (blue) is still down by my gs pedal for easy access after having done my swap ..
*IF* it is your knock sensor, make sure nothing is loose on the back of your engine .. if anything is making noise it'll trip it.
There is a support for the intake manifold that bolts to the botom of the IM and then to the block, mine wasn't bolted tight and was setting off my knock sensor ... once its tightened.. no more code 23 for me ..
My advice now, pull the code.. if it is 23, keep this post going, otherwise walk in shame for making an uneducated guess and let this die

yea, i randomly get a 23... but mine is SUPER intermittent. It probably goes off once every two weeks or so. The sensor has about 70k on it, does it make sence that it is going bad? I'll check for lose metal things that could cause the block to rattle/shake... as fas as the wires I'm 99% sure that they are good, and I know the ecu is ok too (p13). What else can I do? Thanks guys
