Just did a compression test
I have read a LOT of posts on compression on HT so I did my own and I got 180-180-170-175. The thing is I don't know if its actually any good since almost all the posts are for modded engines. Mine is stock 97 H22A4
The only thing I forgot was to do the wot while tuning the ignition. Does that actually change anything? Up compression or lower?
Thanks for you "quality" feedback

Yeah but what if I would have got 150-150-140-145 ???
Then wouldn't have ben good either. Most of the posts give around 200-250.... so I was wondering why I was getting 180-170

180 to 195 is normal for OEM H22a4, and you porb. would get 190ish if you had WOT during your test. 200-250 is what you get with higher compression ratio than 10:1
If you are down at 150 that's too low.

Yeah but is it a H22A4? did you do it on wot? If it is then mine seems a little low....
But 577HondaPrelude says its normal, so why the hell is every one getting over 200 on average?
mileage = 105k

Well...for those guys that have high numbers...take into consideration that they might have significant amounts of carbon buildup in the combustion chamber. I think its possible. The oem specs for compression from the Manual are from 135- 180 psi or so. And if i remember each cylinder must be within 21 or 28 psi of eachother. just my 2cents
