JIC Magic Suspension Question 97-01 Prelude
I wanted to see if a JIC Magic Flt-A2 would be overkill compared to the Tein Type Flex for my 97-01 Prelude. I am going to be doing some racing at the track and I am going to try out autoX, on top of that it is my daily driver. I have not found many people with feedback on the JIC suspension and wanted to see if there was anybody here with feedback on their Prelude. Any help is appreciated.

Re: JIC Magic Suspension Question 97-01 Prelude (MugenLudenB00st)
nobody has any feedback on it? or have a link to where I could get some reviews on it for Preludes. I would like to see before shelling out $1600 for it.

I haven't heard anything good about te JIC's. Overpriced for what you get. Your flex's will do more than OK at the autoX. I just autoX'ed for the first time on my flex's yesterday and I was only 1.5 seconds off the first place runner.

the JIC's are a monotube damper, which means that they'll be harsher than a twin tube damper like the koni's in fast damping situations. it's not a big deal for hpde or a/x, but can be too much for some on the street.
the JIC's are a pretty good suspension, however, i don't trust anything made by JIC. they have a host of in house quality-control/customer service problems that makes any dealings with them unnecessarily difficult. i know of at least 2 people here who have the FLT-A2's and they like them, however, i think the FLEX or GC+Koni will be just fine for what you just described.
If you want something comparable to JIC without the drama, look into the Buddy Club racing spec dampers.
